Weekend's ATC's

Ultra Thick Embossing stamped with Eyeore - who I love

My all time favourite decoupage papers from Craft Creations

Tea-bag folding for Trimcraft Technique Swap

Peel-offs on top of  clear sticky film
A quick update of my recent ATC's, they are a real mixture.  I have just been playing around with my old stash and seeing what I can do with all my bits, (as I'm new to ATC's).  Most of these will go for my Trimcraft swaps.

Friday

my first 'Magnolia' card; I know other people add a lot of embellishments, but I am a bit of a minamilist, so it is difficult to change

2 ATC's for Beach swap on Craftymess

It has been a busy week and I have actually been out of the house twice this week.  Monday to the optician.  Took less than half the time and did not cause headache or migraine - which I think is a first - much less traumatic.  Tuesday assessment of Creative Craft course; which went well.  Unfortunately the college isn't running anymore courses in the village, but hopefully the group will continue to meet.  Outings take their toll on me and I have had very severe pain in upper back and neck; so I know I have to 'take it easy'.  Nice to go out.  Hopefully I will be able to out and enjoy the warmer weather.

Inspiration

What inspires you?  Browsing through the blogs, I noticed an 'inches' challenge - literally inch square images/toppers.  This made me think about some of my first stamps, of Winnie The Pooh.  So I starting searching through my stamps and spent the last few days stamping.
The end result is not an inchie, but is a card that I plan to give my husband for our wedding anniversry, at the end of the month.  He and I met whilst we were working in the operating department; I was a qualified staff nurse and he was a student - I gave him a list of drugs to learn and he gave me a Tigger poem!  So Winnie The Pooh has a special place in our hearts!
I plan to enter this in Craftymess's sketch challenge for May.  I'm not sure if there is enough embossing for it to go in Crafty Cardmakers embossing challenge.
Project Description; I have used Core'dinations (Nostalgia cardstock).  Old Winnie The Pooh stamp, mounted on Nellie's multiframe edges distressed with Tim Holtz Tea dye and triple embossed, spare cardstock stitched onto Core'dinations which has been hand embossed to give it a border, green (Core'dinations) panel embossed with a Cuttlebug border - edges torn.  Small green square is from Crafter's Companion CD, edges embossed with Cuttlebug boder and cut into shape, stitched in place.  Quikutz swirls, Marianne creatable die cut flower shapes, on Core'dinations and cut-out button sewn in place.  3 small gem heart embellishments added.
This card will also be added to my course work for a local Art and Craft course run in the village by Cornwall College.
Hope you like it.

Week's crafting

Hope everyone has had a good week; I haven't been too good - but I think it may be as much to do with expecting to feel better when the Summer comes!  Bit of a shock when you still feel the same.  Have done a lot this week mainly due to joinning in with a few swaps. Will have to ration it out!  Enjoy browsing.

lost ATC's

Sketch Challenge
 for Trimcraft
I've spent the last week focusing on ATC's and now in my befuddled way have managed to lose some!  It makes you wonder what's going on.  We  normally blame things on the sock monster, but now everyone is doing their own washing there doesn't seem to be as much of that.  The ME has been quite bad this week; whether I've 'done too much', who knows?  Doesn't take much.
I have manage to complete Trimcraft'a colour challenge; with the forum's input. So now I just need to upload that photo.
Have taken photos of my missing ATC's but that wont help as they were for swapping.  My carer spent most of the morning sorting through the 'craft area', so it is looking very tidy and I have actually put some things out for carbooting and thrown away a load of rubbish; just the other half of the room to do!  Have uploaded a few of my recent cards.

Fantasy Fairy rather reluctantly given as a birthday card to a young girl; but her mum has said she is going to frame it - so it won't just be thrown away

Colour challenge; Purple and Yellow - just sentiment to add now.

In the Beginning

Hi,
As you may notice, I am completely new to the world of blogging.  I have tried following other people's pages, but have ended up in some strange and wonderful sites - half of which I can't remember.  I therefore decided to dive in at the deep end and see if I swim or sink!
May is ME/CFS Awareness month and so this has prompted me to try to post this on my blog with the hope that people may be able to follow the links and find out more about the condtion.  It may not directly kill us; but it is extremely debilitating and frustrating, as well as the wide range of symptoms people can suffer from, the chronic pain can make our lives hell at times.  Sometimes trying to speak (for me) is like trying to access some strange language and trying to find words that convey what you want to talk about can tire you out for the next week or so.
I will stop for now and see how this goes.
This should be the link for ME Awareness information, please visit and read info
